TOWN OF FLATROCK DISCRETIONARY USE The Town of Flatrock has received an application for a restaurant located at 444 Windgap Road, also known as the Flatrock Fishermen’s Centre. The following is what has been proposed to the Town: Restaurant: Approximately 80 indoor seats (sit-down, food-led service). With some indoor live music on selective dates. Alcohol will be served as part of a restaurant dining experience (not a late-night bar model). Downward facing, shielded lighting will be used to minimize glare and light spill into nearby homes. Patio: daytime and early evening dining. For seated dining only. Parking: Approximately 20–25 on-site parking spaces with clear signage and peak-time management. Proposed operating hours: Indoor dining (typical): 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Indoor dining (peak season weekends, limited): up to 10:00 p.m. Friday/Saturday, as appropriate Deliveries and pickups: Scheduled within 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. where possible and timed to avoid peak dining periods. Environmental responsibility: Waste and recycling stored in sealed, wildlife-resistant containers with regular pickup. Grease and food waste handled through approved systems to prevent odours.
