Keep an eye out for the Fire Prevention Parade coming through Flatrock this afternoon!October 3-9 is Fire Prevention Week! Our Volunteer Fire Department have great events planned:🚒 Sunday, Oct 3rd @ 1:00pm – Fire Prevention Week Parade of fire trucks from Torbay Volunteer Fire Department and our partners winding through the Communities of Torbay and Flatrock (see attached route map).🚒 Monday, Oct 4th – Sparky the Fire Dog will welcome children to school in the morning.🚒 Tuesday, Oct 5th – Fire and Life Safety Inspections to be completed, followed by fire drill at all three schools.🚒 Thursday, Oct 7th @ 7:00pm – Community-wide Fire Escape Plan. Families can prepare and practice an escape plan from their homes. Post pictures to our Social Media sites for a draw for prizes.🚒 Friday, Oct 8th – Visit to Holy Trinity Elementary to participate in Sparky’s World Series trivia game.🚒 Saturday, Oct 9th @ 5-7pm – Drive-thru Open House at the Jack Byrne Regional Sports and Entertainment Centre parking lot in Torbay.
