Killick Coast Regional Public Transit Feasibility Study – Public Survey, 2025

The Town of Flatrock is part of a regional feasibility study to investigate the possibility of a public transit system on the Killick Coast (serving Torbay, Bauline, Flatrock, Bell Island (Wabana), Pouch Cove, Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s, and Logy Bay Middle Cove–Outer Cove). The purpose of this survey is to gather information about individual’s local transportation patterns, transportation needs, and desires to use a localized public transit system. The feasibility study is looking into potential routes, service models, ridership, and community impacts. We are looking into how a potential public transit service could help residents get around their own community, connect with other communities in the region, and/or access services outside the region (i.e. in St. John’s). The survey questions are designed to capture information from those that expect they would use a public transit system at least occasionally. A well-designed system is based on potential rider needs. A few minutes to share your experiences and ideas means a lot to our investigation. All responses are anonymous. We thank you for your time and consideration. You can access the survey here – https://forms.gle/zRowUDQt2DninT3SA you can also obtain a printed copy of the survey which is available at the town office. we appreciate you taking time to complete this important survey.
